Parakeet
oil on board
25.2 x 20.1 cm
External frame size: 24.5 x 29.4 cm
Hand-painted frame made by me
Ready to hang
A painting of an orange-chinned parakeet (Brotogeris jugularis), also known as the Tovi parakeet. It is a small, mainly green parrot found from Mexico to Central America and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, and its name comes from a small clump of bright orange feathers located under its lower beak. Like other parrots, it is capable of imitating simple human speech.
This painting would well in a children’s bedroom, or hung alongside other colourful works as part of a dynamic salon-hang wall of paintings.
